Seek To Be Unique

Who says that small spaces can’t produce large results, or that if you’ve seen one bathroom, you’ve seen them all? This project, the product of our latest collaboration with Diana Weinstein of DW Studios, certainly dispels those myths!

The project first started with a few crucial tweaks of the bathroom layout. By eliminating the tub altogether, we were able to make room for a larger double vanity, a larger shower and a convenient custom-built hamper and linen unit. An in an effort to save even more room, we opted to install a mirrored pocket door – giving the Homeowners’ the full length mirror they’ve always wanted.

With the layout finalized, it then became a matter of ensuring the finish match the fit. DW Studios sourced a beautiful mix of porcelain and glass tile from Mediterranean Tile which we installed atop a radiant heating system powered by Schluter Systems and WarmUp. The custom stained millwork, built by Opus Woodworks, was topped with a gorgeous Sequoia Brown quartzite from Dente Trading and then outfitted with fixtures and hardware from Moen, Kohler and Restoration Hardware. The large custom mirror, fabricated and installed by City Glass Works, not only perfectly compliments the mirrored sconces from Visual Comfort, but also offers a wide panoramic view of the beautiful wallpaper, frameless shower enclosure and Jaclo shower fixtures.
