A Little Curb Appeal

A little curb appeal never hurt anybody. And in the case of this project in Upper Montclair, we didn’t have to venture far from the literal curb to prove that point.

Designed by Sionas Architecture, the renovation called for extending the roof line across the front of the house and below it, creating a new brick and bluestone front patio. The aluminum siding on the front of the house was replaced with cedar shakes, the windows overlooking the street received new shutters and the front patio was wrapped with a new balustrade. To tie everything together, the entirety of the home’s exterior received a new coat of paint, punctuated by the bold red front door.

Simple. Functional. Beautiful.
