Westchester Renovation
Space. It’s the one word that sums up what the Wyanoke Builders Team found, built and added over the course of this kitchen renovation in Westchester, New York. More room to cook was added thanks to the new suite of professional stainless appliances from GE Monogram. More casual seating space is found at the new quartzite-topped, 2-tiered kitchen island and the custom-fabricated dining banquette. And perhaps the most obvious change was removing the walls that once separated the kitchen, dining room and living room to create a more usable, enjoyable open floor plan.
A new solid oak floor was installed throughout the interconnected living spaces while the adjacent powder room and laundry room received a durable porcelain tile floor. Newly sheet rocked surfaces were finished off with Benjamin Moore products from Red Star Paint whereas the Ultracraft kitchen cabinets were topped off with a mixture of super white and soapstone countertops from Dente Trading. The newly configured living room is situated around a custom-built home theater setup which features a Samsung LED TV and 5.1 Dolby surround A/V system flush-mounted seamlessly into the surrounding wall.
Other aspects of the renovation included a standby generator, reconfigured laundry area with LG appliances, baseboard and in-floor heating units by Turbonics, plumbing fixtures by Kohler, Danze and Delta, glass subway tiles from Standard Tile, light fixtures sourced through Lighting New York and new windows and doors by Andersen-dealer West Essex Lumber.
